I haven't forgotten Serendipitous Designs, I've just been in the middle of branding and customizing the most perfect logo for who I am. It's taken some time and I couldn't decide on colors that I wanted...I'm a huge believer in having color and when I can't figure out what I want it frustrates me.

Lately I have been really in love with grey and yellows. In fact I am so in love with the color combination that my daughter's new playroom was painted in those. Well, after much consideration, I settled and I gotta say, I love the new brand. It's sweet and whimsical, pretty and elegant all rolled in to one cute little logo.

Ever since I was little I've always loved pixies and faeries, which after playing around with the S for a little bit, I realized I had to have this.

So what do y'all think?? Is this a winner???

The next big thing that I have done is approached several photographers about working with them. As much as I love my daughter, I am sure some people would like to see some other images on my work to see just what can be done rather than always seeing M's face all the time. After getting a couple disappointing responses, I finally got a huge response from a very talented photography. I'm not quite ready to unveil who she is but let's just say I am ecstatic to take this next step.

After I receive what I need from my new partner I am going to be taking some time and putting an etsy shop together. I'm not sure if that's the best place to start but I think I can make it work. So stay tuned because once that step has been completed I will be doing something special...not sure what yet, but it'll be marvelous! :-)

Official Pricing

This week has been dedicated to Valentines and Pricing. I've also been in the process of creating a card catalog that will show all examples of pre-exsisting cards that can be purchased. It feels really weird doing something that I love to do and trying to make a business out of it. But isn't that what everyone strives to do?

What is a business without a business card?

That has been my goal for today and of course I ran into a couple complications now having my hard drive to access and only having limited resources actually on my computer, but I finally managed to get something set up.

Only to go to have them printed and realize that the bleed guidelines I had been using weren't very effective in the long run. Heheh so now I have to redo everything using a whole new guideline set and hopefully by tonight I will have it finished. But here is a preview of what Serendipitous Design's business card is going to look like.

Valentines Day Giveaway

Rules, prize, and Deadline...I changed the date as you can see because I figured 10 days just wasn't enough. It should be interesting....I'm offering an alternative to the printed cards for photographers. Instead of the cards a total of 5 templates will be given so that they can use them with their clients!

A Very Merry Christmas

And the Countdown begins...

The New Year of 2013 is fast approaching with only 5 days to go and the goal that I had set for having Serendipitous Designs up and running had a slight set back. The hard drive that I use on a daily basis for creating my designs crashed and it's been nearly impossible during the holiday season to find anyone open and able to take a look at it. I've got everything backed up on a disc so it's not like I'll lose it all...just some of the stuff but it's a lot of organization that will be lost. 

Do not fear though, I'm still working! 

To kick off the New Year I'm hoping that if I can get 100 Likes on Facebook, I will be doing a giveaway. A good one too! Basically, it will include a 5x7 custom designed Valentines Card and 25 Boutique printed cards. 

I haven't worked out the full details yet but I've put a deadline for January 7th, 2013. Yeah, it is kind of a random date but the number 7 just so happens to be my lucky number, so 100 likes by the 7th was what I decided. 

I will post more when I figure out all the details but I wanted to kick off the blog and just say...
